Summer Camp 2020 Update:
Due to MSDE-OCC COVID-19 restrictions and regulations there is no field trips until further notice.
We will update as policies change.
Summer of 2020 - COVID-19 Stage 2 Restrictions and Regulations
KTO is still planning on having SummerCamp for Children ages 2 to 12 for the Summer of 2020, however, due to current COVID-19 restrictions and regulations, it will be a very different Summer Camp this year.
Currently, field trips are not allowed per the Office of Child Care and the Maryland State Department of Education.
Masks may be worn but not required for children under the age of 12. Social distrancing will be encouraged. Children need to keep their hands to themselves, as always, but with social distancing it is extremely important. Equipment and toys will be cleaned after use. Hand washing with soap and water will be required upon entry to the building along with temperature checks. Hand washing will be encouraged all day long. Children showing ANY sign of illness will be sent home and children who are sick are REQUIRED by law to stay home.
Also, the Columbia Association has decided to no open any outdoor swimming pools this summer. They are our swimming pool vendor and the only vendor in Howard County, Maryland that will rent to summer camps. Also, due to COVID-19 restrictions on Private and Public Swimming Pool facilities, there is a no guest policy until further notice. I am currently looking into alternative water activities since the CA only announced this closure last week. These alternatives include water play at KTO every Tuesday and Thursday.
Currently, if COVID-19 regulations hold tight during the Summer, we will plan for our camp to stay primarily at KTO . We will incorporate weekly themes, games, sports, water activities, and Arts and Crafts in a traditional Summer Camp setting. They will be spending a lot of time outdoors in a traditional Outdoor Summer Camp style and environment.
If field trips are allowed at some point in the summer, we will follow the previous announced schedule minus the pool activities.
I am decreasing the price from $315 per week to $290 per week for the Summer of 2020 due to the COVID-19 restrictions and the CA Pool closures.
The grouping will be no more than 14 (COVID-19 regulation) per counselor. Ms. Nesha will be our head Summer Camp Counselor again this summer along with Mr. Jake and Ms. Sarah for the Summer of 2020.
Please contact us with any questions or if you have already made reservations and your children will not be attending KTO this Summer. There is no penalty to cancel and your deposit will automatically be credited to your account for future use of any services that KTO offers. The final cancallation date for July is June 22 and for August is July 22. No cash/credit refunds will be given for any reason since our camp is still operating. If you do not cancel your reservation, you will loose your deposit (no exceptions)
Spaces are still available for the Summer of 2020. Please call to make your reservations today! Space is extremely limited! Call us at 410-531-3858 or Email Ms. Ashley at Kidstimeout@gmail.com to make your reservation today!
KTO is committed to a fun filled active Summer regardless of restrictions. We will make the best of it and have a fantastic Summer!
