Lead Preschool Teacher, Assistant Director II
Hi everyone! My name is Miss Lauren and I’m excited to be part of the Kid’s Time Out community. I grew up in Montgomery County and have been living in Columbia for about 10 years. I earned my undergraduate degree in Family Studies from Towson University and went on to complete my Master’s in Early Childhood Management and Leadership at Walden University. I have been in the childcare field for over 20 years and have been part of Kid’s Time Out for about 8 years.
At Kid’s Time Out, I serve as the Assistant Director and Curriculum Specialist, as well as a lead teacher for all age groups. In these roles, I work closely with both staff and students to design lessons and programs that are engaging, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate. My goal is to create learning experiences that spark curiosity, support different learning styles, and give every child the chance to grow, thrive, and build confidence. I’m especially passionate about making sure our curriculum is both fun and meaningful, blending creativity with the skills children need for long-term success.
Outside the classroom, life keeps me busy (and happy!) with my daughter, our dog, and two cats. I’m an outdoor enthusiast who loves skiing, exploring nature, and finding new adventures. When I’m not outside, you can usually find me in the kitchen cooking up something delicious, working on a puzzle, or building something with Legos. I also love traveling and exploring new places!
I’m truly grateful to bring both my experience and passion for early childhood education to Kid’s Time Out, and I can’t wait to continue supporting our students, families, and teachers every day.
